I am not sure of the grade--it has been 35 years, but it was a much nicer gun than the utilitarian pumps and box locks that made up the hunting gear of most of my relatives back then.
I am not sure that the market accurately reflects the value of the higher end guns. I saw a 12 E last year at an auction that was a marvelous looking gun, complete with case, and it went for less than 3,000, far less than I would have thought. However, even the grade 4E guns are pretty nice, IMO, well worth the price you mentioned. If it fit me and felt good in the hands, I'd buy it The higher grade guns are the equal of anything that ever came out of Spain, and, dare I say it, for that matter equal to Brit guns costing two or three times as much. Stoeger used to import them back in the 60's and 70's.
Drajver dlya lpt porta windows 7. I have a Brother laser printer hooked up to one of my machines via parallel port, works like a champ - even have it shared.:) The trick is to get the parallel port driver from the manufacturer (or off of the CD that probably came with the printer) and load it in. Browse to the install folder and it should find the '.inf' file it need to do the install. It should find it, but may not find a driver. If that doesn't get it installed, then go to the control panel, devices and printers, and have Win7 look for the printer.
Out of production for years, parts are a problem, but a quality shotgun will shoot a lot of rounds before wear and/or breakage becomes a problem.
I think its a G dot 2, and the dot is just a spacer, sometimes done. That'd be 1987 and the Victors had a reputation for quality even after DIARMS bought them out. The proof of 850 KG is for most standard loads, not high velocity or steel shot unless the chokes are opened up. The Suhl may be a good bet as the gunmakers there kept their reputation even when nationalized by the communists. I once had a 16 Ga. Lefever Nitro Special, really Ithaca's inexpensive SxS gun line. It wasn't fancy but strong and durable.
Not sure why I sold it as I liked shooting it. Maybe because a local skeet range closed. The older Lefevers were very different and much more expensive. There's a good Nitro Special for $300 at Shotgun World, I wish someone around here had a bunch of SxSs. I did really well buying my 20 Ga Zabala online but wasn't real satisfied with a couple other purchases and got rid of them.
Decided It's be best to actually touch them in the future. Good Luck and have fun Jim. Just get good clear pics of the stamping on the water table and barrel flats. Use the macro setting on your camera if it has one. The load the pics into your computer. To get the picture files small enough to upload to Gunboards you can easily do it by using hte 'email' feature in Windows, when you look at one of the pictures you can see it at the top.
Open the picture attachment that appears on the email, save a seperate copy of it under a new name, then dump the whole email, pic and all. The copies you saved should be easily small enough to upload. When posting pics use the 'advanced' option, then 'manage attachments' and follow the upload directions, selecting the pictures, uploading to Gunboards and posting them. All this (except the email trick) is pretty well explained on the basic board directions.
