When exported to another format True Type font should be the same as original document.. Problem conclusion •. THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 GA level. Incident Diagnosis: When a text was created using a True Type Font, its display was sometime different when exported in external formats (pdf, gl2, etc). Reason: This was because True Type Font was sometime visualized differently in CATIA V5 than in other format viewers. Starting from V5R18, a new visualization of True Type Font in CATIA V5 will insure higher consistency with other format viewers. To make sure that Drafting annotations using True Type Font which were created on previous CATIA levels are visualized without any difference on CATIA V5R18 and upper levels, this new visualization will be enabled only for Drafting annotations newly created on CATIA V5R18 or upper levels.
The display will not get compressed when the drawing is saved in other formats. Answer and By-Pass: It is possible to use a Postscript version of the font to avoid this issue on V5R17 level.
An enhancement of True Type Font visualization will be provided on CATIA V5R18 level, that will remove this issue for newly created Drafting annotations using True Type Font. Temporary fix Comments APAR Information.
